Rule 21:
Expressions in parenthesis are treated as one number and must be calculate first.

Problem 2: Calculate tex2html_wrap_inline120 .

Answer: The answer is tex2html_wrap_inline122 .

Solution:
Since there parenthesis in the problem. Work from left to right. The parenthesis tex2html_wrap_inline124 contains multiplication and subtraction. Perofrm the multiplication first. After the first multiplication, the parenthesis is simplified to tex2html_wrap_inline126.
After the second multiplication, the parenthesis is simplified to tex2html_wrap_inline128 .

The problem tex2html_wrap_inline120
can now be written tex2html_wrap_inline132 .

The remaining parenthesis tex2html_wrap_inline134 contains multiplication, division, and addition. Convert the division to multiplication first and complete the multiplication operations.

tex2html_wrap_inline134 = tex2html_wrap_inline138

The fraction tex2html_wrap_inline140 can be reduced to tex2html_wrap_inline142 .

The fraction tex2html_wrap_inline144 can be reduce to tex2html_wrap_inline146 .

tex2html_wrap_inline148 can now be written as tex2html_wrap_inline150

The problem tex2html_wrap_inline120 can now be written as tex2html_wrap_inline154 . Convert the whole numbers to fractions, build to a common denominator, add, and reduce. tex2html_wrap_inline154 = tex2html_wrap_inline158
