MULTIPLICATION: Problem 5

- Rule
13: To multiply two or more simple fractions, complete
the following steps.

Multiply the numerators.
- 2.
- Multiply the
denominators.
- 3.
- Reduce the results. (See
Rule 10)

- Factor the
product of the numerators.
- b.
- Factor
the product of the denominators.
- c.
- Look
for the fractions that have a value of 1.
- Problem 5:
- Reduce
and reduce the answer.
- Answer:
The answer is undefine.
- Solution:
The second fraction from the left has a zero in the
denominator making the fraction undefined. Any expression that has an undefined quantity in the expression is also undefined.
