Multiplying Simple Fractions: Problem 4

Rule 11: To multiply two simple fractions, complete the following steps.

Multiply the numerators.

Multiply the denominators.

3.

Factor the product of the denominators.

Look for the fractions that have a value of 1.

Problem 4: Multiply and reduce the answer.

Answer. Multiply the numerators and multiply the denominators and keep the results in factored form. Look for the fraction in the mix that has a value of 1. See the following steps:

You can check the answer with your calculator. C calculate 7 divided by 2 and 2 divided by 3 and multiply the results. Now calculate 7 divided by 3. If the answers are the same, you have successfully completed this problem.
